Basic Emergency Skills Training
Originally developed in Victoria, Australia, the BEST course was designed to provide practitioners with comprehensive emergency skill training.
Run in Collaboration with the University of the Witwatersrand and Monash University.
To enhance skills in the initial management of emergency cases following the HHH ABCDE paradigm.
Protocols are consistent with the recommended protocols from the Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa.
The course runs over two full days in the North West Province and includes a mix of lectures, simulations and group discussions.
Food is provided on the course.
Evidence-based teachings on the advanced management of medical, surgical, paediatric, obstetric and environmental emergencies.
